HOW TO SEEK AFTER GOD'S WILL The one question that troubles Christians the most is how to seek after God's will. We know that all works which are done apart from God are vanity and futile labor; they do not count before God. We are not here to do a great work, but to do God's work. Many works are great, wonderful, and beneficial, but they may not be God's work for us. We should not think that whatever is good is of God's will. If our work is apart from the will of God, the Lord whom we serve will not be happy. Although we may be busy from morning till evening, we may not reap much benefit in the spiritual realm nor receive God's praise and reward as a result of this work. We must seek after God's will in each step of our life and work. We should not work senselessly, loosely, and foolishly. LIVING BY FAITH "But the righteous shall have life and live by faith" (Rom. 1:17). This is the normal rule for the believers' living. We are prone to live by the excitement of the visible joys and the obvious blessings. But the Word of God says that "the righteous shall have life and live by faith." Many believers desire to have the revelation of God; they aspire to noble transformation and "third heaven" experiences. Some may encounter these at times, but the righteous must live by faith. FACT, FAITH, AND EXPERIENCE In the present age of grace, everything is "by grace" (Eph. 2:8). Everything being by grace means that everything is done by God. Man does not have to do anything to be saved because "to the one who works, his wages are not accounted according to grace, but according to what is due" (Rom. 4:4). Because God deals with man according to grace, there are certain facts. FACT God has accomplished everything for man. Since everything has been accomplished, certain "facts" exist. And since they are existing "facts," man does not have to accomplish what has already been accomplished. All of God's works are complete. However, God's grace is a righteous grace. This is why, with the "facts," there is still the need for human cooperation. What kind of cooperation is this? THE SOUL-LIFE The soul is man's self-consciousness. We are conscious of our own existence. This consciousness is the soul. The soul is the organ of our personality. All of our personality is part of the soul. All of the elements that constitute us as human beings, our intellect, mind, ideas, love, sensations, judgments, will, and so forth, are all part of the soul. Everything that man's personality encompasses belongs to the soul. The Bible often uses the word heart when referring to our true self. It may be that in the Bible the heart and the soul mean the same thing. The soul is our heart, our true self. The Bible often calls man a soul, as if man is nothing but a soul. For example, Genesis 12:5 uses the word ``souls,'' and there are numerous other scriptural passages that use soul for man. This means that the soul is the personality, including all the elements of the personality. To understand a man, we have to understand his personality. The existence, characte...

THE FLESH The word flesh is used in many different ways in the Bible. Here we will mention only its two most important uses. First, it is used in reference to man's flesh. Second, it is used in reference to the lust of man's flesh. When it refers to the flesh, it means the physical body. When it refers to lust, it means the psychological flesh. THE DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE SPIRIT, THE SOUL, AND THE BODY Most people today consider man as being divided into two parts: the soul and the body. They think that the soul is the invisible part, the psychological part within man, and that the body is the visible part, the outward form of man. Of course, it is true that the body is the outward shell of man. But it is a question whether or not the soul is a substance. Are the soul and the spirit one thing, or are they two things? Is the soul equal to the spirit, or are the two different? Man's answer is that they are the same thing—that other than a difference in terminology, the two are identical in substance. “The heart  is  deceitful above all  things , and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer 17:9 KJV) As crucial as a man’s heart is in God’s consideration and choice of the man He uses, no man begins his natural life with a perfect heart. The natural heart, with which everyone begins life, is not conducive for any spiritual service. Even though God gives everyone an equal opportunity to be used of Him, yet, not everyone becomes usable in His hands. Various people respond differently to this divine gesture from the Almighty God, depending on the kind of heart they bear.

The ark of God symbolises the presence of God. Wherever the ark dwelt, there were tremendous blessings. Consider Obededom. The ark remained with his Family for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his household because of this.  And the ark of God remained with the Family of Obededom in his house three months. And the Lord blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had. 1 Chronicles 13:14 The presence of God was what made the difference in Obededom's Family. His presence will keep the heavens over you perpetually open. That is why the enemy constantly tries to get you out of God's presence, so that he can oppress and afflict you. Grace is not a teaching or a Bible school subject. Grace is a Person, the beautiful Person of our Lord Jesus Christ. And because an encounter with Him is so glorious, so liberating, and so powerful in changing precious lives, the enemy has thrown up so many controversies and misconceptions around the gospel of grace. This has caused many to be afraid of grace and kept them away from precisely what they need to draw close to God and lead a victorious, God-glorifying life. Yet, grace is not the dangerous doctrine—promoting the license to sin—that many have claimed it to be. And it is my prayer that this article will unveil to you what true grace is, and how the Person of Jesus and His grace IS the power of God unto your salvation in every area of life.

Life, the way God intends for us to live it, is a beautiful thing. However, many of us don’t have the biblical wisdom we need to enjoy our lives. The result is that we find out the hard way about life’s sharp edges, and we inevitably get hurt. When we’re hurting, we can go to God for healing from within.

Are you excessively tired all the time, and even after sleeping, do you wake up feeling tired all over again? You may be experiencing some of the symptoms of exhaustion, or what is commonly called “burnout.” Long periods of overexertion and stress can cause constant fatigue, headaches, sleeplessness, gastrointestinal problems, tenseness, a feeling of being tied in knots, and an inability to relax. Some other signals of “burnout” are crying, being easily angered, negativity, irritability, depression, cynicism (scornful, mocking of the virtues of others), and bitterness toward others’ blessings and even their good health.

“Think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 The level of our potential depends upon the level of our thinking. If we let our minds wander into doubt and unbelief, we will drown in fear. Fear is false evidence appearing real. We cannot allow ourselves to daydream and let the devil take control of our thinking. Some Christians need to get rid of stinking thinking and get a check up from the neck up.

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight...” Psalm 19:14 When we capture God’s Word each morning, we are feeding our spirit man, gaining strength for each new day. The psalmist parallels the meditation of the heart with the words of the mouth so that when our speech agrees with God’s, we make a melody in the spirit. The two concepts (meditation and words) are to harmonize to blend God’s lyrics to our “sheet music.”

SUMMARY In our spiritual warfare with the devil, using the Word of God as a weapon and standing on our believers’ authority helps us “get our fight back.” This battle is all about maintaining the victory that Jesus has already won for us. When He went to the cross, He obtained healing, deliverance, prosperity, soundness, answered prayer, and every other victory we will ever need in life.
