SECRECY - Dag Heward Mills

READ: Matthew 13:10-14
“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.” - Proverbs 29:11
It is important to have a system that protects the privacy and secrecy of vital issues, otherwise your plans can easily fail. You must assume that your enemy is trying to know a lot about you. Keep much information from him and let him know only what you want him to know. As Christians, having secrets sounds a little unbiblical and even immoral because we teach a lot about confession, openness and honesty. 
Yes, having secrets and keeping secrets in a civilian world is often evil. However, when you enter the realms of war, it is necessary to have secrets and guard them well. You must keep your enemy in the dark otherwise you will lose the war. Jesus Christ intentionally kept information and knowledge from the Pharisees and the Sadducees because they were hard-hearted evil men.

Jesus spoke in parables intentionally. It was no accident. He wanted to keep His enemies in darkness. It is important not to be open to a hard-hearted destroying devil. Keep your plans as dark as night when you are dealing with the enemy. When there is a war going on, enemies must be kept in the dark and must be given little information.
Secrets are not always evil. The removal and transfer of disloyal and unreliable people must come as a surprise to them. Sometimes it is good for disloyal people to think that you do not know anything about their evil ways. It is good to shock them with unexpected moves that are well thought-through.
